Graham Nash self portrait

I couldn't list this portrait of 1974 on the same category as the below because it is actually a self portrait quite different from what we are used to. It is one of my favourites photos of all time. Graham Nash was in the British band The Hollies and developed a parallel career as a photographer and photography collector.

These are my favourite black and white nude portraits of famous music stars. Some portraits are so identical of the people they portray that the first icon that comes to mind when we think of the artist is that particular portrait e.g the portrait of jim morrison or richard ashcroft's portrait by rankin.

movies to watch this fall

I can't wait to see those movies!!! They are all about love which is one of my favourite genres...

The only one I have seen so far is 500 days of summer and honestly it's one of my favourite movies already
500 days of summer: This movie is about a boy who falls in love with a girl but she doesn't have the same feelings about him. The first attempt by director Marc Webb starring indie film stars jooey deschanel and joseph gordon-levitt. I feel we'll be hearing more often from them soon...
Ondine: Directed by Neil Jordan ( a guarantee ) and starring Colin Farrell who plays an Irish fisherman who finds a woman( Alicja Bachleda ) in his fishing net. A modern fairy tale? It's the first 'love story' movie from Colin Farrell and Alicja is expecting a child from Colin.
An education: It is already rumoured that the movie is a favourite for Oscars this year starring Carey Mulligan ( an outstanding performance ) , Peter Sarsgaard, Emma Thompson.
It is the first attempt of writer Nick Hornby to create a screenplay, whose books have been adapted successfully to cinema ( About a Boy, High Fidelity ). One of my favourite writers and I'm sure I won't be dissapointed. The screenplay is based on an autobiographical essay by british journalist Lynn Barber and questions what is education and if it is only gained from school or real life can be an education too.
Bright Star: An Oscar favourite and an english movie too written and directed by Jane Campion ( The Piano , Holy smoke ). It is the real love story of poet John Keats ( Ben Whishaw )
and his neighbour and muse Fanny Brawne ( Abbie Cornish ).
A single man: Directing debut of fashion designer Tom Ford with a great cast ( Colin Firth, Julianne Moore, Matthew Goode, Nicholas Hoult, Ginnifer Goodwin, Lee Pace ). An English gay professor tries to cope with the death of his lover...
Judging by the trailer the cinematography and soundtrack of the movie is astonishing and one thing we can be sure about: the styling.

Vincent Lacrocq

He is my favourite male model ( Ok I love josh beech too lol ). Here are some of his latest editorials

Penelope Cruz wearing Haider Ackerman... Stunning

by Dylan Thomas

Was there a time when dancers with their fiddles
In children's circuses could stay their troubles?
There was a time they could cry over books,
But time has set its maggot on their track.
Under the arc of the sky they are unsafe.
What's never known is safest in this life.
Under the skysigns they who have no arms
Have cleanest hands, and, as the heartless ghost
Alone's unhurt, so the blind man sees best.

Dylan Marlais Thomas (27 october 1914 - 9 November 1953 ) was a Welsh poet
and writer who wrote exclusively in English. In addition to poetry, he wrote short
stories and scripts for film and radio, which he often performed himself. His public
readings, particulary in America, won him great acclaim; his sonorous voice with
a subtle welsh lilt became almost as famous as his works.
Dylan Thomas died in New York in 1953. The first rumours were of brain haemo-
rrhage, followed by reports that he had been mugged. Soon came stories about alcohol,
that he had drunk himself to death.
Thomas liked to boast about his addiction, saying;
An alcoholic is someone you don't like, who drinks as much as you do.
